A Book Is Worth A Thousand…Internet Resources?

The books I will be using are the following:

How to Paint and Draw People (1981) – Samuel Marshall

Drawing with Hand, Head, and Heart: A Natural Approach to Learning the Art of Drawing (2013) – Van James

The Craft of Drawing: A Handbook of Materials and Techniques (1988) – Dan Wood

  1. I know exactly what you mean with the struggle to find print sources on drawing realistic faces. There are plenty of sources out there relating to drawing cartoon faces though, which is what I have used in the past. They may not provide the detail you are looking for but they do offer excellent practice and start to drawing a variety of characteristics such as noses and mouths and as well as different facial expressions. Best of luck on the rest of your project 🙂
